We are Ankur and Shivani, the founders of Anshi Foods. While Anshi Foods came much later, our journey began with Ankur’s love for cooking. After our wedding, Ankur would often cook something or the other for Shivani in the kitchen. One day, Shivani had an idea: why not showcase Ankur’s cooking skills to the world? So, Shivani forcefully made Ankur create an Instagram account, which was named ‘ankurcooks’. The account was created, but nothing was posted for a month. Then came Karwa Chauth, and Ankur lovingly started preparing dinner for his Shivani. Shivani recorded all of this, edited it, and uploaded it to Instagram. That video received so much love that it garnered over 2 million views within 24 hours, and the account gained around 2500 followers from just that one video. And just like that, our journey of becoming social media influencers began. Finally, we both thought, why not turn this hobby into a business? That’s how Anshi Foods started. Now, you might be wondering why not Ankur Foods or Shivani Foods instead of Anshi Foods? It’s because ‘An’ from Ankur and ‘Shi’ from Shivani were combined to create Anshi Foods.
The idea for Anshi Foods came about while editing on this very table. So, consider this table as the starting point of our entrepreneurial journey. This is where the Anshi Foods office has been set up, and it’s on this very table that your orders are packed and sent out to you. Honestly, even we don’t know what the future holds for Anshi Foods and what new products will come. But yes, now that we’ve started, we aim to achieve something big. Currently, we are delivering pickles (achaar), savory snacks (namkeen), desi ghee (clarified butter), and spices to you. Now, many people sell these things, so why should you buy from us? Firstly, our brand is completely handmade, and we operate entirely without machines. Secondly, we are a preservative-free company; you won’t find any chemical or colours or anything like that in any of our products. Thirdly, all our main ingredients are grown on our own farm, that too organically, so no one can guarantee purity more than us.
So, under Anshi Foods, we are providing you with chemical-free and completely pure products that will make every meal of yours delicious and perfect. And with the first bite, you will be reminded of your grandmother and great-grandmother because all our pickle and savoury snack recipes are theirs.
